The 2014 BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo, or GT, certainly wears its elongated hatchback body better than the 5-Series GT, but would you rather have the roomier GT than the Sports Wagon?

Autonomous cars have whipped up a lot of buzz lately, but they could be further away than most might think. Google thinks they could be here in 3-5 years, but some of the software and hardware analysts think it may take longer.

The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze diesel is here, and it's sporting a turbo 2.0-liter engine good for 148 horsepower, 248 pound-feet of torque, and 28/42 mpg city/highway. That's an intriguing combo, but not a major improvement in gas mileage over the 26/39 mpg Cruze Eco.

You'll find all of these stories and more from around the High Gear Media network in today's car news headlines, right here at Motor Authority.
