Today, we have new spy video of BMW's upcoming 2013 4-Series coupe. Of course, the two-door may yet be badged as a 3-Series, but whichever number it gets, it'll be the same car--and it will likely share its powertrain with the 3-Series sedans.

The 2012 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study shows the industry has reached its highest marks ever. In-car technology has become the biggest single source of issues, though not because the tech is bad. Instead, it's because more technology elements are becoming available in more cars.

The 2012 Tesla Model S has official EPA ratings, and they're surprisingly good: 89 MPGe and 265 miles of range. Package that with a great-looking design, luxury appointments inside, seating for up to seven, and very quick acceleration, and you have a winning combination--if Tesla can build and support them like it needs to.

You'll find all of this and more in the day's car news headlines below.
