Romanian supermodel Catrinel Menghia has done quite a bit to raise Fiat’s brand recognition in the United States market, primarily though a commercial called “Seduction” that was never intended to play on network TV.

In fact, the commercial was created exclusively for the Los Angeles Auto Show, but a reveal to Fiat dealers proved so popular that the ad was placed on YouTube. In unedited  form, it was eventually approved to air during the SuperBowl.

Fiat USA head Tim Kuniskis expected to receive boxes of hate mail from irate U.S. viewers, claiming that the Fiat 500 Abarth (and the unforgettable Ms. Menghia) was responsible for the moral corruption of sons, daughters, pets and farm animals, yet the criticism never arrived. Ms. Menghia, like the Fiat 500 Abarth, is universally beloved.

That’s why we’re glad she’s back for another round, this time with “World’s Fastest Car Show” host Justin Bell. While we don’t speak a word of Italian ourselves, we’re sure Ms. Menghia’s breathy voice in our ears would create a similar expression, not to mention a similar inability to smoothly operate a clutch.

We're fans of Bell and his show, too, so why not toss them a vote for a 2012 Webby Award. Motor Authority missed the nominations this year, but there's always 2013 to look forward to.
