2013 XF Sportbrake teased in Jaguar Christmas card

Jaguar isn’t keeping the development of its upcoming XF Sportbrake much of a secret. The automaker recently released a number of photos showing prototypes testing around the UK and today it’s released this odd Christmas card showing Santa Claus loading up the luxury wagon with presents.

The image shows the new XF Sportbrake from the rear, this time with its rear hatch fully extended.

Many of its new details, including the tail-lamps, are still heavily camouflaged though we do get an inside look at the cargo hold.

With Christmas quickly approaching, we can think of few better rides for Santa to be traveling in, other than his own reindeer-towed sleigh, of course.

With its sleek styling but practical five-door body, Jaguar’s Sportbrake name symbolizes the combination of elements from a shooting brake, which traditionally only has two doors, with a sleek wagon, often referred to as a sportback.

Given the almost production ready look of the vehicle, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it make its debut in the not too distant future--possibly at March’s 2012 Geneva Motor Show. This means that the XF Sportbrake could be on sale by next summer, most likely as an early 2013 model.
