Drag racing is as much about cubic dollars as it is about cubic inches, and the Lingenfelter LS9-powered 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS takes a heaping handful from both columns. The results justify the expense, however, with the car delivering three 9-second quarter mile runs at Muncie Dragway over the weekend.

The runs came despite less-than-ideal conditions at the strip, equating to a density altitude of 3,600 feet thanks to 88-degree temps and 75 percent humidity. Under better circumstance, the car could likely be even quicker. Not that a 9.974 at 141.64 mph is bad, by any means.
