Saleen has announced the launch of the latest S302 package for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT, the latest chapter in the proud Saleen legacy and the tuner’s first package for the reborn 5.0 V-8 engine. With 425 naturally aspirated horsepower at the driver's command, and a superbly balanced and tuned chassis, the S302 package is hard to beat--but let’s take a closer look and see why.

The performance machine is based on Ford’s latest 5.0-liter Mustang GT but picks up a performance air filter and exhaust to liberate a total 425 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 395 pound-feet of torque at 4,250 rpm. Drive is sent rearward via a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from 12.4 inch vented discs up front and smaller 11.8 inch discs out the back.

To set apart the Saleen S320 from the standard Mustang GT is unique badging, a custom hood, a full bodykit and a Saleen windshield graphic.

Available in both coupe and convertible bodystyles, the S302 also boasts an impressive array of standard equipment, including a performance exhaust system, Saleen Racecraft suspension, and 20 inch wheels. The interior is also a feast for the senses, featuring tailored leather and suede trim, a piano-black center console and a Saleen leather-wrapped shifter.
