It's the most anticipated weekend in the classic-car world, and Motor Authority is on the glitzy scene in Pebble Beach to bring you nonstop coverage of this weekend's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
It's unrivaled in its depth and breadth--and in the stunning displays of truly classic cars. From the Concorso Italiano, to the Quail and the Monterey Historics races, the gathering of vintage machines and drivers comes to a grand conclusion on Sunday, August 16, with the Pebble Beach Concours itself.
And this year, as in the past, luxury and performance car companies are bringing their latest wares to the Pebble Beach field, seeking out new clients from the well-heeled crowd along with media coverage. Some will be instant classics--we're betting the new Bentley sedan and Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport will be among them.
It's also our first opportunity at High Gear Media and Motor Authority, to show you what we have in mind for the future of our newest Web site. We've covered car news and spy shots in depth in the past--and going forward, we're going all-out to bring you every detail on the latest high-cholesterol, high-speed, high-rolling machines from the likes of Rolls-Royce to Cadillac, with an occasional right turn down a Shelby or SS alley. You'll get great coverage of the cars that make your pulse race; great photography; first drives and exclusive stories; and more of the breaking spy shots and news you've come to expect.
So whether you're a long-time reader or just discovering us for the first time, visit Pebble Beach with us this weekend to see the new sportscars and luxury sedans vying for instant-classic status:
