Ford's 2012 Mustang Boss 302S is meant to be a track-day warrior, slotting in between the street-legal Boss 302 Laguna Seca and the race-dedicated Boss 302R. There will be only 50 units of the race-only 302S produced. Ford has released a video showing the car hitting a top speed of over 150 miles per hour and pulling 1.5 Gs at times at Florida's Homestead-Miami Speedway. One interesting piece of technology that from the upcoming 2012 Boss Mustang that deserves a closer look is the Track Key. Available through Ford dealers, the Track Key adds Ford's TracMode powertrain control software. The software gives the car full race calibration and two-stage launch control without negatively affecting the warranty.
