Mazzanti is about to launch a new supercar, one that could be faster and more powerful than anything we’ve previously seen from an Italian firm, Ferrari [NYSE:RACE], Lamborghini and Pagani included.

We’ve learned that the car, code-named the EV-R, will be a hardcore version of Mazzanti’s existing Evantra, which first hit the scene in 2013 and is due to receive some minor updates at this week’s 2016 Top Marques Monaco.

CHECK OUT: How to heel and toe and also why you should be doing it

The EV-R, meanwhile,  will debut on June 8 at the 2016 Turin Auto Show. According to Mazzanti, it will be the most powerful street-legal car to ever come out of Italy. Its source of power will be a bespoke twin-turbocharged 7.2-liter V-8 that will sit within a body made entirely of carbon fiber.

Mazzanti says one of the performance benchmarks the car will meet or possibly even exceed is a 0-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds.

In the lead up to the reveal, Mazzanti has released a series of teaser videos to build excitement. The first five from a planned 10 videos have been released.
