Buick won't be getting a version of the Opel Adam hatch says the General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] division's chief.
Rumors had previous circulated that Buick would get a future version of the tiny three-door hatch to spice up its lineup in the United States, but Buick head Duncan Aldred recently told Automotive News (subscription required) that he's satisfied with the brand's current lineup.
The Adam would have rivaled style setters like the MINI Cooper and the Fiat 500, although that segment is largely stagnant in the U.S. Fiat, in particular, has struggled to gain share with its 500. In Europe, the Adam directly squares off against the 500 and both models offer a wide range of customization options.

That said, Aldred didn't rule out the possibility of a new flagship coupe or sedan to anchor the top end of the automaker's lineup.
Buick has added two new models to its lineup recently, the Cascada convertible and the Envision crossover. The Cascada was sourced directly from Opel with minimal changes for the U.S. market, while the Envision was designed (and will be built) in China, Buick's largest market.
And that's not to say that Buick has left the rest of its lineup alone. The Encore subcompact crossover was just refreshed at the New York Auto Show and the LaCrosse saw a complete redesign not much earlier. The Verano and Enclave are also both up for redesigns, respectively, in the not too distant future.
