We showed you the Ken Block's newest toy yesterday. It's a 1978 Ford Escort Mk2 RS, and it's been massively re-engineered so that it's ready to compete in rear-wheel-drive gymkhana events. Block himself is busy competing in the all-wheel-drive group with his magnificent Hoonicorn Mustang, so he has to find another driver to wheel the Escort. That driver has been found, and it's none other than Formula Drift star Ryan Tuerck.

Tuerck is heading over to England with the rest of the Hoonigan Racing Division to do battle and destroy tires. That shouldn't be hard since the 333-horsepower Millington-prepped 2.5-liter engine is happy to ruin rubber while it screams up to its 9,000 rpm redline.

The event is the Monster Energy Gymkahana GRID, and it's being held at Santa Pod Raceway in Bedforshire, England. Block has the all-wheel-drive title, and his Hoonicorn should be more than up to the task of helping him retain the crown. Ryan's rear-wheel-drive skills could see Hoonigan add another group win at the event, as the Escort is clearly built to compete.

In the meantime, check out this video, in which Block introduces Tuerck and acts an obstacle as his new driver partakes in some Block-style antics.
