Mercedes-Benz has added the new GLE450 AMG 4Matic to its growing arsenal of AMG sport models. The AMG sport models offer mild performance upgrades and target similar offerings from the rival Audi S and BMW M Performance ranges.

It was a year ago that Tesla Motors [NSDQ:TSLA] first announced its Autopilot autonomous driving feature. This week the Californian firm announced a software update that activates the first round of Autopilot features.

Volvo is planning a new range of compact cars based on a second modular platform the automaker has at its disposal. The new range is expected to include as core models an S40 sedan, V40 five-door hatch and XC40 crossover, with the first one arriving in 2017.
