Shelby American is sending out the fifth-generation Mustang with a new special edition upgrade package for owners of the Shelby GT500. Only 50 examples are being offered, with pricing for the upgrade package starting at $44,995.

More rumors have emerged about a new Ford GT supercar. The latest info suggests we’ll see a production version at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show and a racing version lining up on the grid in 2016.

Google has revealed a new prototype version of its planned autonomous car (the previous version was only a mock-up). Testing on a private track will soon be underway and if all goes to plan we should see public road trials commence early next year.
