Germany’s Gumpert is back after an insolvency near-death experience, and one of the cars it has in the pipeline is a production version of its stunning Tornante concept from 2009. The new supercar will be based on the bones of Gumpert’s existing Apollo and is expected to produce in excess of 700 horsepower.

Lamborghini’s Blancpain Super Trofeo one-make racing series is back for another year. However, this will be the last year the series uses a race car based on the Gallardo as Lamborghini has confirmed that a Huracán-based car will start testing soon.

German tuner MTM has taken Volkswagen’s Amarok pickup truck sold overseas and shoved a V-8 turbodiesel under the hood. The engine makes a mighty 410 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
