Subaru has dominated the last three seasons of Rally America competition thanks to the speed and consistency of David Higgins and his co-driver Craig Drew, who've already started off the season with a win at the Sno*Drift rally in January. Now, Higgins is rejoined by former championship winner Travis Pastrana in another Subaru rally car for the 2014 season. It should be a fun intra-team rivalry to watch.

Pastrana is looking forward to the competition, and he's realistic about his chances in his first race. In a Q&A session, Pastrana said, "I've never won the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood and that's been mostly due to the dominance on those fast stages by Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino.  Knowing that David and Craig beat Block there last year is impressive and I expect nothing less from them this year. I'm pretty sure I would put the car deep in the woods if Chrissie and I were to go for the win… Our main goal is to learn the car, the speed, and each other… but no one lines up without wanting to win."

In this video, both Pastrana and Higgins put their cars to the test in preparation for the event this weekend. You can keep up with the team's progress at the official Subaru Rally Team USA site, or watch the action a few months from now on NBC Sports.
