A senior Nissan executive has finally confirmed that the next-generation GT-R sports car will feature a hybrid drivetrain. Not only will the electrification help lower emissions, but it will also boost performance by filling gaps in the gasoline engine’s torque curve.

Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One is almost here, and today we learned that a Ferrari add-on will be available at launch and include the LaFerrari flagship supercar. A new trailer for the game has also been released.

Our colleagues over at Green Car Reports have posted up a first drive report on the all-new 2014 Mazda 3. The car is said to have retained the sporty character previous generations were known for, but has picked up a stylish and very distinctive body.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
