A new SUV is in development at Mercedes-Benz, and its working title is MLC. Due in 2015 as a 2016 model, the MLC is aimed at the BMW X6 and its four-door-coupe-UV ilk.

Porsche's own smaller crossover/SUV is on its way, too: the 2014 Macan. Spied again in testing, this time essentially undisguised, the Macan promises to add a level of verve and performance not currently found in the segment.

McLaren and Honda may be open to a partnership for road-going cars. The duo already has some racing tie-ups, but a road car collaboration between the two is much more intriguing for those of us who aren't F1 pilots.
