While all of us would love to climb behind the wheel of the utterly insane, 545-horsepower Nissan Juke-R, few will ever get that chance. Although Nissan has announced a limited-production build of the Godzilla-infused grocery-getter, each built-to-order copy is expected to cost in the neighborhood of $600,000.

For the rest of us, Nissan is building a Nismo-tuned version of the Juke, due to launch in Europe early next year, with U.S. sales to follow. Although the prototype Juke Nismo was shown at an event preceding this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, specific details on the hot-hatch-pseudo-crossover remain sparse.

We know it will wear a body kit and carry Nismo graphics, and we know it will ride on a firmer suspension. It will likely get larger wheels and stickier tires, and the 1.6-liter engine is said to be tuned for higher output. There’s a unique, performance-oriented torque vectoring system on tap, and the sport theme is carried over to the inside, too.

If you were wondering how a Nissan Juke Nismo would fare in a chase with a Nissan Juke-R (and admittedly, it hadn’t crossed our minds, either), you may get the chance to find out. If the Nissan Juke Facebook page can reach 1,000 likes on its image of a Juke Nismo, it promises to show us what happens next.

As of now, the post is about 300 “likes” short of reaching its goal, so if you’re curious about how fast the Juke Nismo will be, why not hit the page and like the image? If there’s video to be had, we’ll post it as soon as we can.
