2012 Porsche Cayenne AWD 4-door Turbo Angular Front Exterior View

Porsche has issued a recall on its 2011 and 2012 Cayenne SUVs due to the headlights on some of the vehicles possibly becoming loose and detaching while being driven.

The recall is for all Cayenne variants, from the base model right up to the high-performance Cayenne Turbo, though only those built from March 8, 2010, through to January 31, 2012.

In all, some 20,278 Cayennes are affected by the recall.

According to a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a detached headlight could lead to the loss of visibility and thus increases the risk of a crash.
