In addition to an all new Lexus LX SUV concept, we know that the luxury Japanese automaker will show a new design concept in Detroit, since Toyota’s premium brand has leaked images of the lower front fender and part of the interior.

Last month brought us a teaser image of Toyota's own design concept, a vehicle the automaker describes as a new plug-in hybrid and which will debut at next week’s 2012 Detroit Auto Show. Today, we get an official preview video.

The concept will be called the NS4, and it’s likely to illustrate Toyota’s new design language. Expect the NS4 to be sportier in appearance and far less conservative than recent Toyota concepts and production models (excepting, of course, the GT-86/Scion FR-S).

Is the NS4 a coupe, a hatchback or a sedan? We don't know, since Toyota isn’t releasing any additional information just yet, but it’s reasonable to expect the NS4 to share drivetrain technology and components with the plug-in hybrid version of Toyota’s beloved Prius. We’ll bring you up to speed as soon as Toyota gives us a little more to work with.

Also sharing Toyota's stand in Detroit will be the 2013 Prius C, which you can get more details on over at our sister site Green Car Reports.
