In-car shot from the CBC Manhattan lap record run

First of all, let us say that driving at ridiculous speeds on public streets is stupid, dangerous, and unnecessary. Nevertheless, it's also sometimes interesting to watch. Don't try this at home.

The video below shows the CBC breaking Alex Roy's lap record for encircling the island of Manhattan, setting a new time of 26 minutes, 3 seconds. If you're not aware, Roy is the holder of the North American transcontinental crossing record at 32 hours, 7 minutes, and one of the most meticulous open-road scofflaws around.

Perhaps the strangest part of this video--obfuscated voices and sped-up driving footage included--is the choice of the car used for the feat: a Saturn Sky.

Thanks for the tip, Edward!
