We’ve always been fans of the Gumball concept here at MotorAuthority--driving fast cars across countries while hanging out with celebrities and generally having a good time. In fact, we even got in on the action at the similar Fireball Run right here in the States last year, but the Gumball is the original and still the best.

The long wait is now over for Gumball 3000 fans around the world as the official route for this year’s rally has been announced. The starting point will be at Covent Garden in London on Thursday May 26.

Participants will then travel some 3,000 miles, visiting locations in Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Belgrade and then finishing, hopefully on June 1, in Istanbul, Turkey. The rally will even visit the luxury playground of Monaco for the F1 on May 28 and 29.

Some of the celebrities this year include David Hasselhoff, hip hop star Eve and soccer player Djibril Cisse.

This is a real "once in a lifetime trip". Entry fee is £60k (approximately $100,000) per car and of course includes everything throughout the week, including hotels, parties, and of course, flying the cars around if needed.

This one is certain to draw a crowd wherever it goes, and with the cars being displayed in each city, everyone will get to witness the amazing machines and stars first hand throughout the route.

Pictured below is a map of this year's route.
