While the new hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the 2012 Ford C-Max may have grabbed most of the attention, they won’t be on sale for another year at least. The regular gasoline model, which is capable of seating up to seven, will be on sale by the end of the year, however, and it is this model that we are taking a closer look at now.

Styling of the funky minivan has been derived from the ‘kinetic’ theme Ford is applying to all its global models, with the new C-Max sharing much in common with the 2012 Ford Focus. The two vehicles, after all, share a common platform, though the C-Max has a slightly larger footprint than its Focus sibling.
