Quick: Which would win in a drag race, a 691-horsepower Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 or a 573-horse, electric-motor-enhanced Acura NSX?

Well, the question isn't fair because we gave you the answer right in the title to this piece. Still, some might be surprised that the Acura has the right stuff to take the crown.

In the video, we see a pair of white supercars on a deserted road in what appears to be Utah. The starter gives the signal, and the cars are off. The Lambo gets out to a better start, but the Acura soon overcomes it and is declared the winner.

There are quite a few factors that we don't know here. Perhaps elevation plays into the result. After all, the NSX's twin-turbo V-6 and three electric motors may not be as affected by altitude as the Lambo's naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12. We also don't know how far the car's raced, the level of traction, the skill of the drivers, the launch techniques, or the weather conditions.

Nonetheless, the Acura clearly passes the Lambo, proving that this high-tech approach to performance has real-world benefits.
