Chevrolet has traveled to the epicenter of the truck industry to take the wraps off of its latest special edition, the Silverado Rally Edition.

Following up on previous Silverados with the same nameplate, the latest Rally edition, which debuted this morning at Texas Motor Speedway, is an appearance package with a decidedly NASCAR-inspired spin.

A full monochromatic appearance replaces the standard Silverado's chrome look. From there, the stylists at General Motors blacked out the truck's signature bowtie badging. Additionally, the truck rides on black 20- or 22-inch alloy wheels, depending on what level of specification buyers choose.

GM hasn't released too many details on the trucks, but the images released indicate a matte black stripe package and a pair of black side steps will further set them apart.

The Silverado itself, regardless of option package, was updated for 2016 with a new look, some technology upgrades, and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Despite debuting at this weekend's NASCAR race held outside of Fort Worth, Texas (incidentally, the race is called the Duck Commander 500), the trucks will be sold nationwide.

That said, most full-size trucks are available with a trim package exclusively available within the Lone Star State's borders.
