At the time of writing, we’re now into the final hours of this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race. You can get a feel for what it’s like driving around the 8.5-mile Circuit de la Sarthe where the race is held thanks to this interactive video.

The video provides a 360-degree view of a lap at Le Mans, which incidentally was done using a Nissan GT-R. Note, it only works with the YouTube App on iOS or Android mobile devices or using the Chrome browser on a computer.

Unfortunately there’s no other traffic on the track but you get a good sense of the long straights as well as the tricky areas such as the Mulsanne corner and the Porsche Curves.

Currently leading the race is the number 19 Porsche 919 Hybrid, driven by Earl Bamber, Nico Hülkenberg and Nick Tandy. In second is another 919 Hybrid followed by two Audi R18 e-tron quattros.
