What better way to start the day than a blast up to 213 mph in Ferrari’s LaFerrari flagship. An owner of the stunning hybrid supercar took part in last month’s EvoMax event in the U.K., where drivers get to take their cars to the limit on a closed runway, and he was generous enough to take YouTube user David Yu for a ride in the passenger seat and as a result we have this latest video.

It shows the LaFerrari reaching 213 mph, but what’s more impressive is that the speed was reached just moments after the driver hit the car’s seventh and final gear. In fact, the LaFerrari was already doing 209 mph when the seventh gear was selected, which leaves us wondering who fast the car could go on a longer stretch of road.

According to Ferrari, the LaFerrari will reach a top speed in excess of 217 mph.  Its power comes from a hybrid drivetrain that pairs a V-12 engine with Ferrari’s own HY-KERS hybrid setup designed to boost output and lower emissions, and peak output is a staggering 950 horsepower and “more than” 664 pound-feet of torque.
