What's your idea of the perfect driving experience? A trip down Route 66 in an old Cadillac, perhaps? Tackling a Japanese canyon road in a Nissan GT-R? For some, we suspect, it's taking a Ferrari through the hills around Maranello, the bark of its V-8 or V-12 exhaust reverberating off whitewashed houses in small Italian villages.

Sound tempting? You're in luck, as travel firm Via Emilia Tours offers just such an experience with its 'Drive your dream' package. The firm has a selection of Ferraris, plus a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and Maserati GranCabrio, in which to experience the Italian countryside. Tours start from ten-minute blasts to hour-long experiences--ten minutes in a Ferrari F430 Spider will set you back 90 euros (around $124), while an hour in an F12 Berlinetta--due on the fleet soon--will cost a hefty 820 euros, or just over $1,100 at current exchange rates. Other cars available are a 208 GTS Turbo, a California, 430 Scuderia, 458 Italia and a 599 GTB.

You aren't limited to Ferrari's home turf either, as Via Emilia can transport your car to any Italian city. You can, if you choose, simply cruise around Rome and take in the sights--but a blast along roads used in the Mille Miglia is probably more appealing. That, or a shot at track driving--the company also has access to F430 Challenge and F458 Challenge race cars, ready for high-speed laps of a circuit. Here, prices range from 480 euros ($660) for 2 laps in the 430, to 990 euros ($1360) for five laps in the 458. Via Emilia Tours covers other pursuits too, including tours of various Italian supercar museums and factories, food tours, and a combination of the two.

And if Italian roads aren't your thing, other companies offer similarly spectacular European road adventures. For more about Via Emilia, head to the company’s website.
