With the 2015 Audi A3 sedan's on-sale date approaching, the car's online configurator has gone live. Using the configurator, buyers can price an A3 before it hits showrooms later this year.

Audi announced a base price of $30,795 (including destination) back in October. That buys a 1.8-liter TFSI-badged turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, which produces 170 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. It's coupled to a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Even the base "Premium" model comes equipped with niceties like leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and automatic xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and taillights.

Models equipped with the 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine start at $33,795. The 2.0-liter engine produces 220 hp and 258 lb-ft, and is paired with the same dual-clutch automatic as the 1.8-liter.

Both models come standard with Audi's quattro all-wheel drive.

Audi will also offer two option packages for the 2015 A3. The "Premium plus" adds features including heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and keyless start for an extra $2,900. The "Prestige" package includes full LED headlights, Audi's MMI infotainment system, and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system for $8,800.

EPA fuel-economy ratings for the two gasoline engines aren't available yet, but the A3 will soon have one of the greenest luxury-car powertrain lineups available.

The gasoline A3 will be joined later this year by a 2.0-liter TDI diesel model, featuring the same new four-cylinder engine as the 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI. It will launch at roughly the same time as the convertible A3 Cabriolet and performance-minded S3 sedan. Finally, an A3 Sportbcak e-tron plug-in hybrid hatchback will hit showrooms in early 2015.
