Next year's calendar for the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, Ferrari’s official one-make racing series organized by its Corse Clienti Department and using the 458 Challenge race car, has been announced. The new schedule includes many new venues and the return of some old favorites, including a stint at Daytona International Speedway for those competing in the Ferrari Challenge North America.

Next year will be the 21st in a row that the Ferrari Challenge has continued to grow in terms of the number of participants.

In fact, the series has proven so popular that there are now four separate Ferrari Challenge series being run, including North America, Asia-Pacific, Italy and Europe.

Drivers are grouped into professional and gentleman driver categories and continue to have their cars stored, maintained and entered exclusively by the Corse Clienti Department and Ferrari dealers.

The 2013 season gets underway officially at the end of January, with a prestigious first for competitors in the Ferrari Challenge North America series as they tackle a single race as a support event to the 51st Daytona 24 Hours, which takes place from January 24 to 27.

The Asia-Pacific series, meanwhile, will also kick off with a special event, this one at the Abu Dhabi circuit over the weekend of May 10. This event will also see those owners involved in the special F1 and XX programs take to the track.

The European series gets underway in Monza, Italy, over the weekend of April 7. The race will be the first of seven rounds featuring two races each. As was the case in 2011, there will again be a non-championship event, when competitors in the European series will tackle just one race as a curtain raiser to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans at the famous French track, over the weekend of June 11.

The Ferrari Challenge Italy will also commence in Monza over the weekend of April 7.
