To promote the 2013 Grand Prix of America at the Port Imperial Street Circuit in Weehawken, New Jersey (which F1 czar Bernie Ecclestone remains less than optimistic about), Red Bull Racing recently demonstrated the surprising musical talents of its running Formula One show car.

In the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, the car delivers an impressive rendition of the United States’ national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner." While it may not hit every note, it hits enough that the tune is easily recognizable, and we’ll admit that it sounds far better than our own limited vocal ranges.

We’re surprised Red Bull Racing didn’t pull off this stunt at Austin, Texas’ Circuit of the Americas, home of the upcoming United States Grand Prix. With only three months remaining until the inaugural Formula One race, it seems to us like the venue needs all the support (and promotion) it can get.

As impressive as this video is, it makes us wonder one thing: did the car serenade Red Bull Renault star Sebastian Vettel with “Deutschland Deutschland Über Alles” when the German driver won back-to-back Formula One World Championships in 2010 and and 2011?
