In preparation for its comeback later this year, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS-R has completed its first track session. Initial impressions are that the car responded well and it was a pretty good first test. Nothing major broke mechanically and the cars felt stable. The new Viper will compete in the American Le Mans Series in the GT class.

Infiniti is going to drop the G25 sedan, leaving the automaker without a base version of its best-selling model. While no formal reason has been given for the decision, we suspect it has something to do with disappointing sales. The 2012 model will continue to be available until December or later, as dealer stocks warrant.

While Audi has already revealed the new A3 hatchback with sales starting soon in Europe, it plans on offering a sedan version of the new sub-compact luxury car here in the U.S. market. The new A3 sedan has been teased on concept form already, but we've yet to see a production model. It's been confirmed it will launch later this year as a 2014 model.
