Here's a little celeb news to make you smile -- or cry, or maybe scratch your head, depending on your point of view: Austin "Chumlee" Russell from the reality series Pawn Stars is now motoring around Vegas in a Maserati GranTurismo.
According to TMZ, the Chumster visited his local Maserati showroom last Thursday to give the car a once-over. By the time he rolled out of there, he'd talked down the dealer from an asking price of $100,000 to $85,000. Apparently, hanging out with expert hagglers has its benefits.
Why would anyone offer such a cut to a cable TV star who's probably making in the mid-five-figures every episode? Well, assuming she knew who Chumlee was, the salesperson might've figured that she'd get part of that discount back in free advertising. (Since we're writing about it, maybe she was onto something.)
You can question Chumlee's taste in hairstyles all you like. You're welcome to quibble with the man's goatee, which some might call unsavory. And of course, you're free to wonder what a show like Pawn Stars is doing on the History Channel in the first place. But there's no arguing that Chum knows a good-looking car when he sees it.
