Et alors, qu'est-ce que c'est? Why, it appears to be actress, model, and object of Jeremy Clarkson's undying affection, Ms. Keira Knightley, perched atop a Ducati in Paris' Place de la Concorde. But you know, we're just guessing.
At first glance, we thought Keira might be going through some sort of personal crisis, or perhaps angling for George Clooney's affection. (You know the Cloonster's love of women and hogs.) But then we noticed the cameras and the light reflectors and -- biggest tip-off of all -- the way that the bike is strapped to a rig, making it kind of like the world's coolest merry-go-round.
Then we clicked through to the video below and read the notes: "A special treat for you. Chanel has shared with us a 'teaser' of the new Coco Mademoiselle film 'Gabrielle' starring Keira Knightley and directed by Joe Wright.... The full length version will debut on the 21st or [sic] March on the Chanel website."
So what have we learned today?
1. Chanel ad campaigns are more interesting than Ducati ad campaigns.
2. Always match your bike to your catsuit.
3. Fall 2011 is ALL ABOUT BEIGE.
