Magneti Marelli, in partnership with Fiat’s Brazil division, has developed a Fiat Siena that’s capable of consuming four different types of fuel. On top of regular gasoline the small 1.4-litre engine can run on ethanol, compressed natural gas (CNG) and gasohol, a combination of gasoline and alcohol.

The fuel management system is unique to the four-fuel Siena and can be used to increase the efficiency of more conventional engines. The fuel mapping software is intelligent enough to automatically detect which fuel is in the tank with no need for human involvement. Currently the car is set for sale in Brazil only.
