Volvo has commissioned three different tuning houses to help promote its small C30 hatch, by displaying highly modified versions at this year’s SEMA auto show. Design is said to reflect differing personalities and tastes of Volvo buyers with themes aimed at performance, outdoor adventuring and visuals. The first of the three tuners is ipd, who’s building a supercharged 400hp (298kW) racer running on a modified suspension and features a high-end Alpine entertainment system.

For the outdoorsman, HEICO SPORTIV is planning to utilise the C30’s AWD system to create a versatile off-roader, which will have more storage capabilities to lug around extra equipment. More durable body panels will be applied to protect the car from scuff marks.

Fast and the furious enthusists will be pleased with the EVOLVE C30, which combines high performance internals with an equally stunning exterior. Expect wild color schemes and exotic materials for the car, which is said to combine the elements of an F1 car with the practicality of the C30.

The SEMA trade show will be running from the 31st October through until the 3rd of November. Click here to see high-res images of possible renderings plus the original C30.
