You’ve really got to hand to the Brits when it comes to modding small capacity turbo motors. We’ve previously reported on modified Evos from across the pond. Now Litchfield Imports has updated its Type-25 Subaru Impreza STI to develop 415hp (310kW) from its engine, which was co-developed with Cosworth Inc. The Type-25 has been in development since 2005 and was fully tested in the heat of motorsport, namely the Tuner GP and UK’s Time Attack Championship, which it currently leads.

Features include the standard STI assortment but with new black Brembo brakes, brushed aluminium controls, increased sound-proofing and a revised spoiler. Under the bonnet the Type-25 gets an enlarged intercooler, more efficient oil coolers and a modified suspension set-up.
