Honda revealed a prototype Civic Si Sedan enhanced by its MUGEN tuning arm at SEMA this week. The car comes equipped with a high performance suspension kit, forged aluminum wheels, aerodynamic body styling plus a cat-back sport exhaust kit. This is no hyped up concept either, the Civic MUGEN Si is planned for production in a limited run of 500 cars per year, and should be in US dealers in spring next year priced under $30,000.

That’s reasonable value considering the car’s suspension was tested at the Twin Ring Motegi racing circuit in Japan, and includes ultra-light 18in wheels riding on BFGoodrich tires. The full bodykit adds a front spoiler with a sports grille, side skirts, a rear bumper diffuser and a rear wing. This is the first time a Honda sedan is carrying the “Si” performance tag, and it looks like it may even give the Civic Si Coupe a run for its money.
