General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz has outlined key details about the Saturn brand and more specifically its Vue crossover. Lutz tells us that the vehicle will be launched later this month at the L.A. Auto Show and that it will be very similar to the PreVue concept (pictured above) that was displayed in New York back in April.

Lutz also mentions the warm reception that the Aura sedan has been receiving from the press, who have recognized it for the high levels of refinement from GM’s global midsize platform. Something Lutz would like to repeat with the introduction of the Vue CUV. Like the Aura the Vue will be based on another Opel, the recently introduced Antara.

Over the next 12 months, GM will be doubling Saturn’s product lineup and broadening its scope of offerings at the same time. The link between Opel and Saturn will remain for future products and the connection will help GM develop strong vehicles at lower cost. You can read Lutz’s blog by clicking here.
