While there has been a multitude of performance accessories launched for the GT-R since the car first made its debut last December, Nissan has finally released the first set of official upgrades through its in-house tuner Nismo. The range of parts are currently on sale in Japan only, and having the entire kit installed by Nissan will set you back a cool ¥5,460,000 (approximately $50,209) plus a GT-R.

Thankfully, Nismo engineers have come up with an extensive list of the mods for the giant-killing Nissan, with the range headlined by a new Chassis Package. This is comprised of race-spec Bilstein Damptronic adjustable dampers and stiffer Nismo springs and 20in Rays forged aluminum wheels (9.5in up front and 10.5in at the rear).

Inside, there’s a set of Nismo-branded Recaro bucket seats with carbon-fiber backing and leather trim. These still retain the side airbags but they lose the electronic adjustment to help save 6kg per seat. Up back is a new titanium muffler set, with custom tips and a 70mm diameter. The exhaust system also comes with a new carbon-fiber under tray designed to reduce drag.

All the parts are backed by a three-year/60,000km warranty, which will even be honored if the parts are damaged while driving at a race track. However the catch is that owners will need to send their vehicles to a Nismo authorized center after each track session for a full inspection to maintain the warranty.
