Back in February, reports started circling that Cadillac would be doing away with the previous 3.0-liter V-6 and replacing it with the 3.6-liter V-6 in the 2012 SRX, and today, it's official: the 300-horsepower LFX engine will be available. The larger V-6 adds 35 horsepower and 37 pound feet of torque (now up to 260 pound-feet) to the old V-6's figures, while still delivering similar fuel economy. The first of the new 3.6-liter SRXs will arrive at dealerships later this summer, but pricing won't be announced until closer to launch date. Mechanically, the SRX will remain otherwise unchanged...
