The calendar for the 2016 Formula One World Championship has been confirmed, and as expected there are 21 races including a new event in Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani race will mark the return of the European Grand Prix; it will be run on the planned Baku City Circuit, a street circuit in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.

The 2016 F1 calendar also sees the return of the German Grand Prix, a race absent this year, with Hockenheimring confirmed as the venue.

It should be noted that the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, remains on the calendar but is still subject to a final agreement with organizers.
