The Infiniti Q70 is the automaker's large, luxury sedan, if you couldn't tell by the name alone. It's a fairly well appointed machine that pairs stand-out exterior styling with a lovely cabin. Infiniti is upping the luxury level a tad with its new Premium Select Edition for 2016 models, and it has chosen Pebble Beach as the perfect place to show off the up-trimmed four door.

On the outside, Infiniti has darkened the chrome trim pieces and fitted 20-inch wheels shod with 245-series all-season tires at the corners. Out back, there's a subtle decklid spoiler and the lower rear valence has been darkened as well.

Inside is where you can really get a sense of how this car differs from the rest of the Q70 family. The semi-aniline leather seats, offered in Graphite or Stone, contrast perfectly with the faux-suede headliner. Rather than wood, Infiniti has gone for an aluminum trim finish, which might be the one misstep we find on the inside as Infiniti has really stepped up its game in regard to the quality and style of the wood trim it's been offering as of late. It also gets illuminated kick plates and floormats with contrast piping.

Infiniti will offer the Premium Select Edition on standard wheelbase Q70 models, minus the hybrid. That means you can opt for a 3.7-liter V-6 or the 5.6-liter V-8 engine, in either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. Cars with the Premium Select trim go on sale in November.
