It’s opening day for the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, and the news is coming hard and fast. Already we’ve seen a handful of concepts, as well as top sports cars like the new Corvette Z06 and Mustang. A major surprise, however, was the unveiling of the Toyota FT-1 sports car concept, which many are already calling a modern-day Toyota Supra.
One of the big stars of the Detroit Auto Show is the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The car is outputting as much as 625 horsepower and generates more downforce than any previous car from General Motors.
We got our first look up close at the 2015 Ford Mustang in Detroit this week and have plenty of live photos to show you. The clean-sheet design of both the fastback coupe and the convertible variant features a distinct Mustang flavor thanks to the long sculpted hood, short rear deck and tri-bar tail-lights.
You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
