NFL players crashing their vehicles is a relatively frequent occurrence. But NFL players following up their crashes with Instagram photos of the crashed vehicle--and the pizza they broke an arm trying to save--well, that doesn't happen every day. But it happened today.
Nate Burleson, a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, crashed his SUV last month, breaking his arm in the process--because he was trying to save his pizza. Sadly, he failed, as the Instagram montage of the aftermath displays.
Burleson's SUV--a GMC Yukon with Hybrid badges--also didn't survive, suffering a severely mangled front end.
So why did an NFL star post these embarassing photos to Instagram? In his own words, "I'm releasing these pix for 2 reasons: 1) I walked away from a totalled vehicle #Blessed 2) I have to hear all the pizza jokes...lol I'll start-Yes I am the 5th Ninja Turtle. #LovePizza #LetTheJokesBegin."
We're just glad to see his sense of humor made it through the accident unscathed.
