Formula One ace Fernando Alonso has given a candid interview to German television station RTL. Oh, and he just so happened to conduct it while driving a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta on the notorious Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Alonso provides some honest insight into his own performance and the performance of the Ferrari team this season and also reveals some interesting details, like how he deals with a bad race, what it’s like when he’s driving an F1 car and the tire explodes, and what he gets up to during his downtime.

Sadly for the double world champion, even driving a V-12-powered supercar like the F12 Berlinetta on a track as demanding as the Nürburgring feels “normal.” Used to driving much faster machines, we sure few road cars will still be satisfying for the Spaniard.
