While Ferrari didn't reveal the Enzo successor known as the F70 at the Paris Auto Show, it did have its carbon fiber tub on display at its booth. The tub was developed using lessons learned from Formula One racing, and it will be mated to a carbon composite chassis. Four types of carbon fiber are used and each piece is hand-laminated before being cured.

Volkswagen showed off a thinly veiled concept of the next-generation GTI at the Paris Auto Show. The styling is evolutionary but looks fresh and clean. The GTI will get a power bump with 217 horsepower from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, and power going to the front wheels. The new GTI will go on sale early next year while the U.S. will see it in the second half of 2013.

We've posted numerous live photo galleries featuring all the cars from the Paris Auto Show, too, from the Bentley Continental GT3 Concept and Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 to the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible MC and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept. Be sure to check them all out.
