Dodge and Travis Pastrana have teamed up for RallyCross. Pastrana will be driving a new 2012 Dodge Dart with a 2.0-liter Tigershark engine with more than 600 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque. With power being sent to all four wheels, the Dart will hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 1.9 seconds. The 2012 Global RallyCross Championship will feature seven races.

A new record speed has been set at the Texas Mile by a twin-turbo Ford GT. The GT's top speed of 257.7 miles per hour beats the old record of 250.1 mph and beats the team's closest competition by 4.6 miles per hour. The team hopes to break the 260 mile per hour barrier during the next Texas Mile even in late October.

While Ferrari is launching a brand new V-12 engine in its new F12 Berlinetta, it says hybrid technology is on the way. In order to secure the V-12 engine's future, the automaker plans to adapt hybrid technology to help reduce CO2 and lower emissions. Ferrari is also exploring the idea of six-cylinder engines in an effort to curb its emissions.
