John Varvatos-designed 2012 Chrysler 300S to be sold for charity

American fashion designer John Varvatos has partnered with Chrysler once again, this time to design a special 2012 Chrysler 300S that will be auctioned to help raise funds for the charity organization Stuart House.

Varvatos previously starred in one of Chrysler’s Imported From Detroit television commercials promoting the new 300 range at its launch.

Now he’s helped build a one-off 300S inspired by his own clothing collection.

His 300S features 20-inch wheels finished in a carbon satin finish, seats and door trim lined with black woven leather, more leather on the instrument panel, console lid, and door armrest, and a two-tone steering wheel with accent 360 ring.

Engine options for the Chrysler 300S include either the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar, rated at 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 5.7-liter Hemi delivering 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

Online bidding for Varvatos' one-off 300S ends on Tuesday, March 20. You can get more details on the cause or make a bid over at Chrysler’s official blog.
