An eBay seller looking to capitalize on President Barack Obama's former ownership of a 2005 Chrysler 300C with a starting price on the car's auction of $1 million has ended up with nothing to show for it but a healthy spate of media coverage.

The car's auction history shows no one bid on the car, despite the seller's declaration that the $1 million starting price was "not a joke," and subsequent comparison to sales of the cars of other political notables, including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Popes Benedict and John Paul II, and Adolf Hitler.

As we noted in our original story on the sale, Obama pedigree or not, $1 million is a lot to ask for a 2005 Chrysler 300C, even if it does have a mere 19,000 miles on the clock.

File this one in the "better luck next time" and/or "keep dreaming buddy" bins at will.
